My suggestion will be for you is to replace the screen, go to Apple care and tell them regarding this hardware issue and it will be fixed by taking few bucks from you.

You can do things manually like DIY, if you want DIY then you can follow the below guide. In manual way, you need to know the issue first, it could be the issue related to connection between your screen panel and the board inside.

You can try to do hard reset by holding down the power and home button for few seconds until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears and still you find the same issue then you have to do things manually.

It is necessary for you to remove your display , you should have the screw drivers to open up the screen panel, once you open up you need to check the flex of both the panel like screen or display panel and the board panel and also check out the flex and the snag point to make sure those are not damaged.

These connectors are for both the LCD and the touchscreen panel, there could be dust around those connectors, make sure to clean them using cotton bud and alcohol. If you found that the flex has been damaged then please replace it and soon after restart you will be able to use full screen area.

But there are some issues with screen too if you found even after you cleared the dust and still the same issue then you have to change the screen.

There is only solution for this as I know is you can press and hold the power button and home button together for almost 7 seconds and it will restart the iPhone 6 and you will be able to touch the screen again, the screen will work and your issue will be solved 😛 the most simple solution.
