How To Enable And Create System Restore In Windows 10

Windows 10 has been one of the best operating system launched by windows and it comes with amazing features and it is a user-friendly matter of fact Windows 10 is one of the best user-friendly operating systems of all time.

However, it comes with some features enabled and few others disabled and system restore feature comes as disabled in windows 10. In this tutorial, i am going to share a simple method to enable system restore in your windows 10 operating system.

Follow the steps below carefully to enable system restore:

Step 1. Make sure that you are logged in as an administrator.

Step 2. Now go to control panel and click on “system and security” option.

Step 3. Now you need to go to system protection ( this option is available on the left-hand side)

Step 4. Now from the system protection Windows, you need to click on the configure icon.

Step 5. Now click on this option “Turn on system protection,” click ok and apply.

That’s it your system restore is now enabled.

Follow the steps below to create a restore point in win 10:

Step 1. Make sure that you are logged in as administrator.

Step 2. Go to control panel and then click on system and security.

Step 3. Now click on system protection option that is available in the control panel>system.

Step 4. Now click on the create option which is available from the system protection Windows.

Step 5. Now you need to select date and time to create a restore point and your system restore point will be created.

  1. Good article. I haven’t used WSR in years, prefer 3rd party alternatives like Comodo Time Machine or RollBack Rx. Either way, I know there’s a lot of people who use WSR still to this day.
